1. What This Page Covers
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on sendchief.com (the marketing website) and in the SendChief dashboard application. It should be read alongside the Privacy Policy.
2. Our Cookie Philosophy
SendChief is built by people who don't enjoy being tracked across the web, and we try to build the site the same way. The marketing website uses strictly necessary cookies only. We do not set advertising cookies, third-party marketing cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies. PostHog analytics run in anonymous mode and do not set identifying cookies on the marketing website.
3. What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. Cookies can be "first-party" (set by the site you're visiting) or "third-party" (set by another domain). They can be "session" cookies (cleared when you close your browser) or "persistent" (kept until they expire or you delete them).
4. Cookies We Use on the Marketing Website
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Strictly necessary | Preserves your session state for multi-step flows (e.g. the contact form) | Session |
That's the full list. The marketing website does not set advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies.
Analytics (no cookies)
Product analytics on the website are handled by PostHog in anonymous mode, which does not set identifying cookies. Anonymous mode means PostHog records aggregated events (page views, feature clicks) without tying them to an individual device identifier that could be used to track you across sites.
5. Cookies in the Dashboard Application
When you're signed into the SendChief dashboard (app.sendchief.com), the application uses strictly necessary cookies to:
- Keep you signed in between requests
- Maintain CSRF protection
- Remember UI preferences like sidebar state
These are first-party, strictly necessary cookies. They're required for the application to function.
6. Do Not Track
SendChief honors "Do Not Track" signals where applicable by not enabling any optional analytics beyond what is strictly necessary.
7. Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you view and delete cookies, and block cookies from specific sites. Because the marketing site only uses strictly necessary cookies, blocking them will not affect the content you can read — but blocking cookies in the dashboard will prevent you from staying signed in.
8. Changes to This Policy
Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of the page.
