Use case · Escape Google Workspace

Stop paying $14 per user. Own your email infrastructure.

SendChief gives teams leaving Google Workspace a dedicated VPS with ready mailboxes, unlimited domains, full DNS control and EU data sovereignty — all on a flat monthly price that does not scale with your headcount.

Why teams are leaving

The per-seat model is breaking for growing teams

Four reasons we hear on every migration call — and none of them are fixable by renewing for another year.

Yearly price hikes

Google raised Workspace pricing by roughly 20% in 2023 and again through 2024. Every renewal, the per-seat bill climbs — and the features you rely on don't scale with it.

AI training on your email

Google's privacy terms give it latitude to process workspace content to improve its services. For teams handling client data, legal correspondence, or sensitive pipelines, that's an unacceptable surface area.

Data stored in the US

Default Workspace tenants store mail in US regions, which puts GDPR and Schrems II squarely on your plate. Moving data to an EU region is a paid add-on — and still sits inside Google's US-parented stack.

Per-seat tax and vendor lock-in

Every new hire means another Workspace license. Every new domain is a paid alias. And migration is deliberately painful — exports, mailbox-by-mailbox, with calendars and contacts bolted on as an afterthought.

What SendChief replaces it with

Own the server, not the subscription

A flat-rate VPS that scales with your plan — not with your headcount — and every deliverability and sovereignty lever you actually need.

Flat-rate VPS pricing

Pick a plan, get a dedicated VPS-backed mail server and ready mailboxes. Add the 31st, 131st or 301st user without the bill ticking up per seat.

Unlimited domains and mailboxes per server

Host as many sending domains as your plan allows — and every mailbox on them. No per-domain alias fees, no per-user creep, no quiet quota squeezes at renewal.

Full data ownership

You own the server, the DNS, the DKIM keys, the DMARC policy and the DANE records. SendChief operates the stack so you don't have to — but every mailbox and every byte is yours to export any day.

EU data sovereignty

Deploy in Scaleway's fr-par (Paris), nl-ams (Amsterdam) or pl-waw (Warsaw) regions. EU-resident data on EU-operated infrastructure — the cleanest answer to GDPR and Schrems II we know how to build.

No AI training on your data

SendChief does not train models on your mail. There is no silent content processing layer, no generative feature pulling from your inboxes — just a production-grade mail server you control.

Own your deliverability signals

DKIM, SPF, DMARC, DANE and MTA-STS are auto-configured on your domains and exposed in the dashboard. Change a DNS record any time — nothing is locked behind a vendor console.

Migration walkthrough

Five steps to a clean cutover

A predictable runbook that most teams run end-to-end in an evening. Parallel inboxes mean nothing bounces during the DNS flip.

1

Verify your domain on SendChief

Add your existing domain in the dashboard. We generate the DKIM keys, DMARC policy and MTA-STS records up front so you can stage DNS changes before any cutover.

2

Recreate your mailboxes

Create every mailbox on your new SendChief server in bulk — same addresses as today — and have users validate them while Google Workspace is still live.

3

Import historical mail

Run an IMAP sync from Google Workspace into each SendChief mailbox. Folders, flags and attachments carry over so nobody loses their archive.

4

Cut over DNS in a planned window

Flip MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and DANE records to SendChief. With a low TTL set ahead of time, propagation typically finishes inside an hour.

5

Verify mail flow and decommission

Send test mail in and out, confirm DKIM delivery to Gmail and Outlook, then cancel your Google Workspace subscription at the end of the billing cycle.

Data sovereignty · GDPR · Schrems II

EU-resident mail on EU-operated infrastructure

Deploy your SendChief server in Scaleway's Paris (fr-par), Amsterdam (nl-ams) or Warsaw (pl-waw) regions. Your mail, DKIM keys and server state never leave the EU — and the stack is operated by an EU company, not a US parent. For European teams trying to close their Schrems II risk, this is as clean as the modern mail stack gets.

  • Paris (fr-par) — French data residency
  • Amsterdam (nl-ams) — Dutch data residency
  • Warsaw (pl-waw) — Polish data residency
